Job Title:             Floor Manager

Reports to:         Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers

Job Summary

The Floor Manager assists the Store Manager and the Assistant Managers in store operations and acts in their place when they are absent.  The Floor Manager also is competent in all of these areas:

1. Digital Photo Equipment
2. One-Hour Photo Equipment
3. Pharmacy cashier
4. Customer Service Desk
5. Post Office
6. Loss Prevention
7. Management functions

She/he is primarily in charge of an area or department(s) of the store.  The Floor Manager assists Store Management with scheduling and staffing and service related issues in Customer Service, Pharmacy, and where ever called upon.  The Floor Manager is an advocate with other personnel for Store Management and company policies and procedures.

Ideally Floor Managers are those with Department Management experience as well as exposure to company policies and procedures.  The Floor Manager candidate should be one who has exhibited good judgment in past customer and store personnel situations.  He/she should also be able to handle conflict situations with tact and diplomacy.  Floor Managers (the same as other management personnel) are called upon in busy, difficult, and stressful situations. 

Physical Requirements

Ability to constantly move about the sales floor

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation

Occasionally work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity

Must be able to frequently position self to assist with stocking and other merchandising requirements

Occasionally operate a cash register and any/all store equipment
